Fine art school portraits in Skagit County

My goal is to provide a custom, boutique experience to all families attending the schools who have chosen Courtney Holcomb Photography to photograph their students.

I aim to capture the essence of the children in front of the camera. The results are genuine and timeless portraits that sometimes are less traditional (and dare I say somewhat cheesy) photos we have become accustomed to with unflattering, busy backgrounds.

FAQ

Do you provide class photos?

Absolutely.

What time of year can we do this?

Anytime during the academic school year. Yes, March works great, too!

Is this expensive?

Rates are competitive and nothing is due up front, all profit is made from ordering. I offer a variety of collections and a-la-carte products to fit everyone's needs. Sample sheet here. (*please note, prices are subject to change).

How many kids can you accomodate?

So far, I have experience with groups of 30 to 375, with kids ages 0-18.

How does this work?

I will provide info you can share with your parents to help them prepare and know what to expect from picture day.

The family of the child will be provided 1-5 images in a secure online school gallery (sorted by classes), presented in both color and black and white. The family may chose what to printed or purchase digitally.

I handle any questions from parents and families and am willing to work with schools to provide custom services that fit your unique needs.

How long is turnaround?

Prints are ordered online and delivered directly to the school within four weeks of picture day.

Do we get images for our yearbook?

I will provide the school with digital files to use for yearbooks, website, school advertising, school IDs, etc.

What about the background?

My favorite backgrounds is a clean, minimal, classic, & simple black. I feel this highlights the child's personality without distractions. White, or a classic painted canvas look are also options.

Some schools are outdoor/natural minded & prefer a woodsy background (weather permitting). Other schools we take photos indoors with studio lighting.

What is the difference between you and typical school photos?
  1. Children are encouraged to be authentic & let their individual personality shine through.
  2. The simple backdrop ensures that each photo remains timeless & classic
  3. Small groups (under 100) and preschools: Sibling photos are a possibility!
  4. Preschools & smallI groups: I capture 2-5 photos of each child and present them in both color and black & white
Can this be a fundraiser?

During springtime, absolutely. Message me to chat how I can serve you through school photography and other options.

What age groups, or types of schools do you serve?

Sitter to Senior!

I have served preschools, co-ops, home, and private schools/groups; even families with children in public school who prefer these photos!

What about homeschools?

Absolutely! Just your kid(s) or if you represent a group, message me to set something up.

Are you a parent who would like these pics for your kids?

Maybe you're a homeschool parent, or seek a simpler, more relaxed photo than the school offers.

Would you like to host a portrait party?
